If you signed up to our email you would have heard about this Saturday’s project – you can have a go at turning your old unusable jeans into a bag! Cool project. Thanks for the fab idea Sade! Carla will be on hand for support.
What you will need:
You can of course, bring your own project and/or questions about anything stitchery (is that a word?) Another Project that could be interesting is from one of the members of Rock Paper Scissors (the shop next door), asked if we could help with a project for people with Alzheimer’s/dementia. She works in a home and wants to create a “fidget blanket” (I had to google it too) e.g. with heat and hands website Please bring some ideas along. We would like to make a start next Saturday 🙂 |
The Library of Things has a new home!
They can officially announce they are moving back to where it all began – in West Norwood!
This project was all part of The Open Works – a Lambeth council year long project that helped the community start their own projects, which is how The Stitch started so we love to keep up to date with our fellow groups!
We’re moving in with a social supermarket called Community Shop. It’s just behind West Norwood cemetery, next to Park Hall Business Centre and the recycling centre.
You can read up on the project here – Their website can be found at libraryofthings.co.uk
Follow them on Facebook and Twitter
We hope to see you tomorrow 🙂
