We started the sensory blanket – also known as the fidget blanket.
Janet from the Rock Paper Scissors London group works as an Art Practitioner (Spiral Arts), and runs workshops for people with Alzheimer’s and Dementia related conditions.
It’s a great way to experiment with different textures and have fun with colours too
Creating this blanket is great fun for us and we hope the recipients will enjoy it too.

We will be continuing with this project (Janet wont be there as she is away but is back the following Saturday) and the Jean Bag project, plus you can always bring your own as always or just pop along to learn something new!
See you soon 🙂
Hi Tara, I’ve made 3 squares and almost finished 2 more, will bring them Saturday. I’ve sewn round the fabric baskets and will bring them as well to do the corners then place together. I can do a couple of hours on the 5th as early as possible as I visit mybrother in hospital in the afternoon. Do you need help at the portical loading on Saturday? Enjoy your day. Sue
