Pompom noses for Reindeer – cute right!?
We will be making these to sell at the December 6th Feast as a fundraiser for the Stitch community group.
They will come flat-packed and kids should have some fun putting them together and you can keep the pom pom all year round!
You can paint them, pour glitter on them – decorate to your hearts content!
Some pics of pompom making we did last Saturday – we will be making more, we did run out of red so there are some glittery pink and orange noses 😉
We tried several methods of pompom making – this was the best one!
cutting the sides after wrapping
hmmm… once you make a pom pom successfully you want to make tons of them!

Tara roped in her mother to help!
I swear this looked like a lovely little multi coloured pompom and it was being fluffed up and suddenly it collapsed – we have no idea why… oh dear… here it is in all it’s err… glory next to some more successful pompoms.
A doggy blanket in aid of the fire at Battersea Dogs home is still being worked on by a Stitchee – love the paw shape!
Here’s the pattern for the dog blanket – they prefer knitted but still accept crochet – crochet stitches apparently catch in animals claws… dog blanket pattern which was made by WhoDunnKnit
They have a PDF pattern for cat toy mice!
ps: don’t forget about L’Arche & Rock Paper Scissors Christmas Fayre this Sunday (22nd Nov) on Idmiston Road – lovely gardens with mince pies, mulled wine, hot dogs, face painting, xmas decoration workshop, live music and lots of handmade goodies which make great gifts.
we will remind you of the L’Arche Candle Making workshop nearer the time – it’s on the 12th December so add it to your calendar – it was very popular last time!
***NO STITCH THIS SATURDAY***
SW Art Trail is on and both L’Arche members & staff are showing their Art – alongside Rock Paper Scissors Members too so you can still pop along 🙂
