Fascinating Fascinators!

ok – I apologise for the heading but it’s hard coming up with titles 🙂

Tara made a sea themed fascinator – and another Stitchee made a fab piece and we found it hard to believe that she has never done this before! Amazing

Some of the other Stitchee’s mended and enhanced old clothing – one said that her wardrobe has increased somewhat since joining the group 😀

One was making a skirt that she loved but was far too short and decided to extend the length with lovely rich colour banding.

Come to see our Bzz Garage Banner at The Feast Tomorrow!

We finished the Bzz Garage Banner!

I was sceptical but the ‘Stitchees’ did it and still managed to have a chat, laugh and eat chocolate 🙂

Lots more pictures to come and we will be at the Feast to see the banner in it’s new home – some come join in some Easter Fun 🙂

Bzzzzzzzz and Flowers

Bzz Garage Banner – The Bee’ginning

(sorry)

The little wingless Bee is looking forward to meeting more Bees.

Today’s meet up was about planning the Bzz Garage Banner and teaching newbies how to crochet flowers – some of us had to relearn as it had been awhile!

We were using instructions from Attic24 – Lucy writes really clear tutorials. Everyone also enjoyed this book of projects from beginner to advanced, featuring flowers of different kinds.

Spring is here!

On Saturday we’ll begin work on a banner for our friends at West Norwood Bzz Garage. We’ll start by creating bee friendly flowers in fabric and yarn (and maybe some bees too!).
Things to bring if you can:
  • Crochet hooks if you have them
  • Yarn scraps
  • Fabric scraps
  • Embroidery silk or cotton
Let’s make tons of flowers!
  • Hosts will be: Rachel, Zoe, Lenny & Emily
See you on Saturday!
